
I have had it with these people. Seriously, of all the software in the world that can be classified as Beta, the last thing you’d expect is a movie rental service who probably bought off the shelf code and hacked it a little to use it. But hell, they dont care anymore, as far as they’re concerned, its a fashion statement to use unstable software in a public release!
Few days ago I released one javascript component as beta – http://www.jaipho.com.
Although it meant to be fully functional beta, I expect that the “beta users” will point up some problems and gaps I overseen.
Yes, the movie rental service should be more serious than simple javascript component, but I still don’t see a problem with it. It is a trend and they had to survive. It is not problem in beta over usage, it is general society “rush” problem.
